Man, that problem with computers crashing really goes around at the end of the term, said a wide-eyed Sharon: That girl on Sex and the City? She's a writer, and her file crashed on the same day mine did.
actually happened to me once. Second 20 page seminar paper, so i was 48 hours into the 'lock down' writing thing, on like 4 or 5 maybe 6 hours of sleep did something, I don't even remember what, went to the bathroom, got a cup of coffee and a snack, cameback to the computer and the document was gone. No one else home, no pets. Fortunatly I am a better than average with computers, it took me about 45 minutes but I remembered how to find it and got it back. I almost cried.
You know the thing about excuses that I try to explain to people, is it's not so much the excuse, it is the lack of imagination behind them that bothers me. If you are going to lie to me, please make it good and interesting, unique, make me laugh, make me think about crying... Give me something.
