Along with my hair, the following items are now soft ash brown:
1. My hands.
2. My cell phone.
3. The Origins of Consciousness and the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind.
4. My ipod nano.

what were you doing with Julian Jaynes book?
In fact, how has that thing survived and stayed in your ownership all these years while other better books have vanished into the void?
Are you actually thinking of that idea of Babel, speaking in tongues stuff, non-anchored language...
Um - m - m, Neal? I was using it as a coaster at that ... point in time.
ok, sounds like a good usage.
it is a source of great interest to me when certain *objects* in your personal space universe out last others.
Note also that my "ipod nano" is actually a mini walkman cassette player.
I actually prefer certain recordings on cassette -- Rachmaninoff's piano concertos, for example, and other orchestral works that have a lot of rich, warm tones.
The subtle warping of a cassette tape adds dimension to certain recordings.
My hair is fabulous but my hands are midnight blue. It might be permanent.
Where did your blog go?
it is there, bloggingpartii.blogspot.com.
It will go away eventually, your hand color that is, although, surgical gloves would seem to be in order.
Yeah, there is a certain flaw to digital recordings--they don't always seem to be alive. You don't have an Ipod do you? It would seem a thing Hilary would quickly lose; although you are much better at not losing things than you used to be--see a certain recent paycheck as proof opposite.
